I think the environment and financial investment motivated me to really get deep with my thought work. I had felt stagnant since I started the Clutch but wasn’t putting in all I wanted to for better results.
It felt like a culmination of all the thought work I’ve been doing the last few years. It was amazing to watch so many people be coached and pick up little things here and there to apply where I see fit within my own mind. It’s the most liberating feeling to understand you have control of your mind, and can TRULY manage it.
Week 1: The Eternity Filter
We say we understand circumstances are neutral but then we still want to take a bunch of action to change them. This week’s lesson is a practice that will really force you to grapple with how you are thinking about circumstances and create true acceptance.
Week 3: Magnify Your Emotion
Feeling our feelings is the single hardest skill of thought work. We tend to grudgingly make a tiny bit of room for an emotion as long as it doesn’t stay too long. This week you’ll learn a skill that completely transformed my approach to how I deal with my emotions and helps me resolve them much faster.
Week 5: Visualize & Externalize Empathy
We often find it easy to be compassionate towards others, but not towards ourselves. This week you’ll learn a technique that helps you externalize your self compassion so it’s easy to access and yet still applies to your thoughts about yourself. (And no, it’s not the old over-used “how would you speak to a friend” question!
Week 2: The Self-Socratic Method
We don’t take our curiosity about our own thoughts deep enough. We just write down a thought, do a model, and think our job is done. This week you’ll learn a self-inquiry written practice that will help you get much deeper in uncovering the TRUE thought that is creating resistance, attachment, or distress for you
Week 4: Flipping Shame
So often we are in a rush to change our thoughts to get rid of our shame for having those thoughts, or the feelings and actions they create. This week you’re going to learn a skill that will help you flip the way your brain is creating shame to dissolve it.
Week 6: Radical Thought Acceptance
Yes, changing thoughts is a core goal of self-coaching. But paradoxically we can’t change them when we feel like we have to do so. This week you’ll learn how to make peace with your most challenging and troubling thoughts, whether or not they ever change. (And the more you accept them, the more likely they will.
Yes you will learn new skills. But more importantly you will PRACTICE them.
This isn’t studying arcane French grammar. It’s living in Paris for six weeks to speak French.
Each week you will get access to a new module teaching you a SINGLE transformative advanced self-coaching practice.
Each week you will practice this technique.
You will get coaching from me on weekly calls available exclusively to students in this program.

The Clutch is designed to teach you how to coach yourself. It’s normal to find some kinds of self-coaching easier than others.

Each weekly lesson will be a short audio, 5-10 minutes long, and one short written exercise for you to practice all week. There are weekly live coaching calls with Kara, and optional weekly study halls with the Clutch coaches.
So to participate live and in real time, your weekly time commitment is about 90 minutes a week (broken up between live call and curriculum).
To participate at your own pace, using the materials and replays, you can spread it out over as long a period as you want! Equally effective.
A recent study published in the scientific journal JAMA showed that you don’t have to fully participate in coaching programs to get the benefits of them. Good news for all of us!
The live coaching calls with Kara are like the live coaching calls you see every month in the Clutch, except these calls will be ONLY for course members. The calls will be held meeting style so we can all see each other and enjoy this smaller community experience. You also will not have to sign up ahead of time, you’ll just raise your hand on the call.
The study hall calls, also held meeting style, are held multiple times a week to fit different time zones, and hosted by the Clutch coaches. These calls are an opportunity to co-work on the materials together, ask questions, and discuss what you’re learning with fellow chickens.
You should have finished the Feminist Mindset Fix and know how to do a model. If you haven’t finished that, the reason your self-coaching isn’t working is you don’t know how to do a model! But as long as you’ve finished FMF and know how to do a model, you’re ready for this program.
If you’re newer to thought work, this program is going to save you SO much wasted time on self-coaching that doesn’t work as quickly and efficiently as it could.
If you’re more experienced, this program is going to help you breakthrough the places you’re stuck or plateaued in your thought work.
The point of this program is to help you self-coach powerfully and efficiently so you don’t NEED to use every element of the Clutch to get results.
Yes, you will have multiple opportunities a week to attend live calls and get personal attention from Kara and the Clutch coaches.
BUT it’s important to understand that what you need is not actually personal attention. That’s not the point of the program.
The point of the program is to teach you how to coach yourself so effectively that you do NOT need personal attention to create a breakthrough in the future.
